Technology Incident Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

This role will be responsible for coordinating the restoration of a technology or Information Security incident as quickly as possible following the enterprise policy and procedures for Incident Management. This role will include orchestrating incident response efforts, refining response processes, and fostering a proactive incident response culture. We are seeking a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of incident response methodologies and a commitment to maintaining a resilient security posture.

 

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the investigation, containment, and resolution of technology and security incidents, including cyberattacks, data breaches, and other security & technology incidents.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Ensure Root Cause Analysis (RCAs) and After Incident Reports (AIRs) are appropriately documented and collected and lessons learnt are incorporated into the processes for future awareness.
  • Foster a culture of incident understanding, awareness and preparedness within the organization through training and education initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels during and after an incident, ensuring clear and concise reporting.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats, technology trends, continuously updating incident response strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams, including vendors, Technology, Security, Legal, business lines, Operations and all required stakeholders, to best understand the appropriate response/audience and severity  of incidents.

SKILLS AND TRAINING

  • Proven track record of successfully managing incidents.
  • Strong understanding of incident response methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Experience in working with Incident and Change Management system

 

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in incident response, incident communication or related roles.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work is performed mainly in a normal office environment.  Noise levels are usually moderate.

The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting.
