Service Representative - IRA Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY
The Service Representative – IRA Specialist supports Branches, the Contact Center, and internal departments by providing timely and accurate resolution to inquiries and service requests. This role manages all aspects of IRA plans and accounts and performs operational and servicing duties for other deposit product accounts on the core banking system.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage IRA plans and accounts, including verifying documentation and correcting transactions to ensure accurate tax reporting.
- Maintain IRA plans and accounts, including setup of auto distributions, beneficiary information, and distribution tax withholding.
- Resolve and respond to inquiries from branch, department, and call center personnel related to savings, checking, certificates of deposit, IRAs, safe deposit boxes, RMS concerns, and deposit verifications.
- Maintain and update customer and account information, including account type changes, rates, alternate addresses, special coding, and tax reporting updates.
- Assist with daily review of consumer and business mobile deposits, including approvals and declines as needed.
- Review Cold Storage and Horizon 360 reports for ongoing account and customer monitoring.
- Assist with daily processing of general ledger entries, safe deposit box payments, mail deposits, and official check requests for back-office departments.
- Assist with levy and restraining order processing, including verification of funds, customer notifications, and turnover of funds.
- Resolve unposted items related to savings, checking, certificates of deposit, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes.
- Support the CDARS program, including new customer setup, account maintenance, and liquidation of accounts.
- Participate in training and perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of experience servicing Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Prolonged sitting
Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs (printer paper, storage boxes)
Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)
Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.
HAZARDS:
The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting and those present in commuting by car. Occasionally, they may be exposed to those conditions present in public forums and meeting places.

Pay Details
$27.90 – $34.87 per hour
Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate’s skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.
This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
