Service Representative III - ACH Operations

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for performing daily ACH Operations functions and serves as a senior‑level resource for complex inquiries and problem resolution. The role requires the ability to independently perform both routine and non‑routine ACH operational duties while exercising sound judgment and maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and customer service. The incumbent supports ACH processing, exception resolution, fraud and claim research, and reconciliation activities, while assisting customers, internal partners, and external agencies in a professional and timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and resolve consumer claims related to unauthorized, incorrect, or fraudulent ACH transactions in accordance with Regulation E timeframes
- Perform ACH Origination tasks, including receiving and uploading files, processing incoming returns and Notifications of Change (NOCs), and completing file reversals and deletions
- Assist with daily use of fraud monitoring systems and communicate concerns to customers as appropriate
- Manage the accurate processing, verification, and reversal of electronic payments for deceased individuals in compliance with Nacha rules and banking regulations
- Investigate, resolve, and repair ACH exceptions, including NSF items, stop payments, and unpostable transactions
- Assist customers and external agencies, including Online Cash Management clients, Treasury, Nacha, The Clearing House, and other financial institutions
- Exercise independent judgment in resolving complex issues, including daily logs and reconciliations, while maintaining workflow efficiency and service standards
- Support proof and balancing activities related to ACH operations
- Perform additional duties and special projects assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in bank operations preferred
- Strong professional communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely present information and respond to inquiries from representatives of other business lines
- Working knowledge of Reg CC, UCC, Reg J, and Check 21
- General PC proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and Zoom

- Work is primarily performed in a normal office environment with moderate noise
- Prolonged sitting
- Lifting 5–10 lbs. (e.g., printer paper, storage boxes)
- Occasional bending or overhead lifting (e.g., storing files or boxes)
- Hazards are those typically found in a normal office setting

PAY DETAILS
$22.87 – $28.62/hourly
Please note: The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate’s skills and experience, job‑related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.
This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
