POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Loan Processor III at Provident Bank, you will be responsible for all daily functions associated with processing a consumer/residential loan application.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensures accuracy by reviewing and analyzing all aspects of the mortgage credit package including but not limited to accuracy of file input, timely delivery of required application disclosures, asset documentation, income calculations and income documentation including personal and corporate tax returns, credit report/credit documentation and appraisal review.  Solid knowledge of TRID, RESPA,  FHLMC, and HMDA.
  • Heavy interaction with a high-level of customer service and communication with vendors, internal customers, and external customers Contact borrower relating to document needs, status updates, and escalation of issues to ensure the needs of our borrowers are met with a high degree of satisfaction
  • Work as a team with sales, underwriting, closing, funding, and management to ensure assigned loans are being processed on time within compliance of corporate policies, agency, and all state and federal laws Perform various tasks as requested by management.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 or more years of related experience
  • Knowledge of automated residential/consumer loan process
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with a customer centric approach. Demonstrates courtesy, professionalism, and ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • General knowledge of regulatory requirements for residential/consumer loan originations
  • Computer Literacy: Windows/Excel/Encompass (Loan Origination System)
  • Understanding of Freddie Mac guidelines
  • Ability to analyze personal and business tax returns
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Knowledge of loan processing and closing processes and qualifications for credit worthiness.
  • Required to register with the NMLS prior to being allowed to take mortgage loan applications, negotiate or extend terms of a mortgage or other loan secured by a residence.

Licensing Requirement (SAFE Act)

  • This position requires registration with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) in compliance with the SAFE Act. Candidates must be eligible to register and maintain active status upon hire.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment.  Noise levels usually are moderate.

  • Prolonged sitting
  • Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (printer paper, storage boxes)
  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)
  • The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting.

Pay Details:

$22.26- $27.79 hourly

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. 

 

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
