BSA/AML Quality Control Analyst II

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The BSA/AML Quality Control Analyst II will perform quality control reviews of BSA functions as well as Fraud. This position will ensure practices align with operating procedures, industry standards and regulatory compliance. The primary responsibility of the QC Analyst will be to conduct detailed reviews and assessments of compliance-related activities, identify potential discrepancies and support QC Supervisor in preparing comprehensive reports on QC findings, including trends and areas for improvement. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs QC on all aspects of the Bank's regulatory reporting functions including Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes as well as BSA/Fraud alerts and new account reviews.  Ensure the appropriate decisions/recommendations have been made according to departmental procedures.
  • Identify potential and emerging BSA/Fraud risks through QC reviews and engage with analyst and/or QC Supervisor to discuss discrepancies and assess sufficiency of remediation plans to address issues.
  • Assist QC Supervisor with periodic reports summarizing findings of the QC reviews and compile metrics to identify new trends, patterns, or observations to management.
  • Assist in the development of and adherence to Quality Assurance best practices, standards and processes.
  • Remain current on industry rules, regulations and best practices to ensure the testing program meets regulatory expectation.
  • Provide support and assistance in managing and developing reports and attending meetings when the Quality Control Supervisor is not available.
  • Provides support on special projects as needed and represent the BSA Department by participating in meetings with various bank teams and on special projects as assigned by management.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of the BSA, AML, USA Patriot Act, KYC, OFAC regulations and Fraud.
  • Knowledgeable of bank and branch operations.
  • Knowledgeable of databases and websites used in the investigations of suspicious activity, including money laundering and terrorist financing.
  • Ability to remain composed and make appropriate decisions under stressful conditions, which may involve dealing with a range of responsibilities and defined timetables.
  • Ability to analyze business situations, identify problems or concerns, determine applicable scenarios and choose the appropriate solution to the problem.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executives, managers, legal staff, employees, regulators and outside auditors.
  • Ability to train and supervise personnel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and complete them on time.
  • Good personal computer skills and proficient in using software commonly employed in an office environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • ACAMs, preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment.  Noise levels usually are moderate.

  • Prolonged sitting
  • Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (printer paper, storage boxes)
  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)
  • The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting.

Pay Details:

$58,900 - $84,200 annually

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. 

 

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
