Accounting Coordinator III

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under close supervision, this position performs operational processing, reconciliation, research/analysis and customer service activities within the Loan Servicing Department and assists others regarding inquiries and problem resolution. This position is considered at the senior level.  Incumbent is expected to show initiative in training less experienced staff members and take on more complex and/or challenging assignments.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs tasks related to balancing, reporting processing and research functions associated with but not limited to the Escrow, Insurance, payoff processing and customer service segments of the department.  Completes daily data entry, file maintenance duties and processing activities for the assigned area of the Department.
  • Is responsible for providing assistance to customers and/or other agencies as required by         the assigned position.  Service and assistance is to be provided in a professional, timely and accurate manner.
  • Follows all Department guidelines inclusive of policies and procedures in order to complete duties in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Complies with recommendations in order to enhance department overall effectiveness.
  • Assists others as directed to accomplish Department objectives.  Participates in training and development programs as requested or required
  • Responds to requests by management to perform related duties and activities.  Maintains working knowledge of use and operation of office equipment.
  • Provides testing on Horizon releases and other operating systems within the department

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 5 or more years
  • Good interpersonal verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to listen and communicate effectively on the phone.
  • Proficiency in computer operations, i.e. Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide monetary units and to perform arithmetic operations with the use of a calculator.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety and security practices.
  • May need to lift moderately heavy boxes of files (file room).
  • Ability to work a flexible hourly schedule as requested.
  • Knowledge of and the ability to accurately apply, generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Performs duties at a higher degree of difficulty, i.e. statistical reporting and reconcilement.  Main focus is on customer service and proof of area workflow.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. This position involves travel to customers and property locations.

  • Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (printer paper, storage boxes)
  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)
  • The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting

Pay Details:

$23.85 - $29.79 hourly

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. 

 

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
