SVP, Regional Sales Manager - Central Region - Full-time

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Regional Manager maintains a visible presence in the region through community leadership and involvement and provides consistent coaching and guidance to the management team.  This position is responsible for achieving branch and regional goals using standardized sales management and coaching principles and effective outside sales techniques.  Primary strategies; retention, expansion, and attraction of new business.  The primary focus is meeting customers' needs and providing consistent levels of customer service throughout the region.  Responsible for internal and external sales and marketing programs, branch operations, audit controls, income and expense levels, and supporting staff development and training.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales Implementation: Implements the launching of new sales campaigns in coordination with Retail Sales Manager.  Reviews progress to goal weekly and proactively develops strategies to ensure success of the campaigns.  Maintains sales and service quality as measured by customer satisfaction surveys and shop scores.  Reviews pipelines for consistency and growth. Manage and perform external sales calling program.
  • Staff Development: Promotes professional growth of employees through planned development activities and experiences for succession advancement.
  • Monthly Regional Sales Meeting: Creates a structure and processes around bringing together the business line sales representatives for each region to openly discuss the level of success and the need to partner in the Region.  Also eliminates barriers and creates & develops the Team Sales concept.  Effectively communicates, acts as a corporate liaison to strengthen business line inter-action.  Spearheads change, corrective actions and communications.
  • Operations & Control: Ensures that the Region adheres to bank policies, procedures, security standards, and budget requirements.  Monitors the quality and timeliness of work unit performance. Resolves more complex issues, problems and complaints.
  • Marketing Strategy Coordinator: Supports and collaborates on marketing strategy by coordinating with Retail Sales Manager/Branches in the launching of new marketing campaigns.  Supports the marketing campaign goals and merchandising concepts.  Ensures adherence to the marketing and branding standards.  Evaluates campaign results.
  • Supervisory responsibilities: Directly supervises Market Managers and branch managers in a specific region.  Indirectly supervises branch personnel in region through subordinate supervisors.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Bank's policies.  This includes interviewing, hiring, training and managing employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing and resolving employee complaints and concerns.  Responsible for managing the regional staffing model to ensure adequate coverage in the branches.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a commensurate role.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze data and present it to groups of customers, senior management,

peers, and direct reports.

  • Ability to compile and construct budgets and to manage expenses.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions, communicate them to others, and establish controls

to evaluate that these instructions are followed.

  • Knowledge of sales techniques and relationship building.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of banking operational processes and how they relate to Federal Regulations and Laws.
  • Knowledge of general banking products including consumer lending and mortgages.
  • Ability to instruct and supervise.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based upon the needs of the business and attend after-hour Bank, community and philanthropic events.
  • Will be required to register as a mortgage loan originator with the NMLS prior to being allowed to take mortgage loan applications, negotiate or extend terms of a mortgage or other loan secured by a residence.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • Life and Health Licenses to support investment program
  • NMLS Certification

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Retail Banking Branch Areas

Work is mainly performed under general office conditions in a retail-banking establishment.  Willing and able to work required overtime.  Willing and able to travel to other locations/branches.  Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to adapt to new job locations and reassignments as directed. 

 

  • Lifting from 5 to 25 lbs. (Coins)
  • Prolonged sitting/standing
  • Occasional bending or stooping (To retrieve coins from individual vault)

 

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.

Pay Details:

$114,100 - $163,00 annually

 

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. 

 

This role is an incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
