POSITION OVERVIEW:
Responsible for the general onboarding of new loan applications to include Disclosure Desk responsibilities, initial loan file set up and the ordering of services. Liaison between Processing, Underwriting and Closing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides application and disclosure package fulfillment to borrowers for new loans. Prepares disclosure packages based on loan program, location of property and investor. Uses vendor Lodestar to facilitate the accuracy of the fees. Disclosures issued with 100% accuracy within required regulatory timeframes, including disclosures for loan changes and rate locks for loans in process. Completes second-level review of all disclosure packages to ensure accuracy.
- Tracks borrower compliance with signing of disclosures. Orders appraisals, flood certifications, fraud reports, OFAC reports, and title review on loans. Pulls summary of Provident Bank relationship for loan file. Advises manager of any discrepancies. Manages the collection and tracking of application and appraisal fees.
- Manages the online application process for Consumer Connect. Assigns loans to loan officers, or to Sales Manager, if no loan officer is identified by the applicant.
- Completes pre-closing due diligence for underwriting staff, including employment verifications, refreshed credit reports and ordering of IRS transcripts. Reviews documents and notifies management of any discrepancies, including changes in employment, new credit inquiries or rejected transcript requests.
- Completes documentation for non-originated loans, including denied, withdrawn or closed for incompleteness. Verifies loan file is accurate and includes updated conversation log entries and documentation that meets regulatory requirements for Regulation B and ECOA.
- Manages Pre-Qual Leads folder in Encompass and verifies that loan officers have included a prequalification letter or that the loan has been documented as non-originated within 30 days of pulling credit reports. Issues adverse action letter to customer, if required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-2 years related experience in residential mortgage opening or processing preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with completing deadlines.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external customers.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. This position involves travel to customers and property locations.

Pay Details:
$19.38 - $24.26 hourly
Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.
This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
