Sales and Credit Coordinator, Equipment Finance

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As the Sales and Credit Coordinator at Provident Bank, your primary role is to support the Equipment Finance Credit Department by entering new submittals into the system, running credit reports, communicating with brokers and Bank personnel regarding the new submittals, maintaining approval and funding logs and completing the underwriting for application-only credit requests.  The Sales and Credit Coordinator works closely with other team members in a fast-paced credit environment and collaborates with colleagues throughout the Bank who refer transactions to the Equipment Finance Department.  Providing exceptional customer service to our customers and the account servicing team is essential to the role.  We are seeking candidates interested in learning credit analysis, financial analysis, collateral analysis, motor vehicle titling requirements and credit underwriting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages new equipment finance applications, including application-only to short form credit analysis.
  • Partners with internal referral sources to prepare and submit new loan requests and submit for credit evaluation.
  • Updates department reports including approval & funding logs, past due reports & collection efforts; title in process reports etc.
  • Provides exceptional service to our customers. Answers questions regarding billing, payoffs, account restructuring, wire transfers and other customer inquiries.
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three years related work experience commensurate with job function.
  • Basic computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel, Adobe PDF. Ability to quickly learn various web-based programs. 
  • Ability to conduct research on the internet. 
  • Strong communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in a professionally manner with internal and external customers, including brokers, sales team and all levels of colleagues throughout the organization.
  • Clear & concise writing skills.
  • Ability to calculate monthly loan payments. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of customer data and operations.
  • Ability to effectively work independently.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree
  • Five years related work experience commensurate with job function.
  • Knowledge of Equipment Finance.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Administrative Support Areas

 

  • Prolonged sitting
  • Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (printer paper, storage boxes)
  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)

 

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.
