Total Rewards Analyst I

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Total Rewards Analyst I supports the administration of Provident Bank’s benefits and compensation programs, with a focus on retirement plans, compensation support, and regulatory compliance. This role plays an important part in ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a positive employee experience across total rewards programs. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer retirement benefit programs including 401(k), pension, and non-qualified plans. 
  • Review vendor-prepared regulatory filings (Form 5500, PBGC) for accuracy and prepare submissions. 
  • Support annual audits and preparation of financial statements. 
  • Prepare and distribute required participant and regulatory notices. 
  • Monitor vendor processes, EDI files, enrollments, and contributions. 
  • Process and reconcile benefit-related payroll adjustments. 
  • Support Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners with job evaluations, compensation analysis, and offer recommendations. 
  • Support annual compensation programs including merit, promotions, market adjustments, and bonuses. 
  • Compile and submit compensation data for BLS reporting. 
  • Crosstrain on health and welfare plans for business continuity. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 yrs in benefits, compensation, finance, auditing or banking.
  • Understanding of benefits administration and applicable government regulation of employee benefits.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer programs particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Adobe.
  • Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including speaking to large groups.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions consistent with job functions.  Ability to remain composed and make appropriate decisions under stressful situations.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects for timely completion.  Familiarity with preparation of financial statement and regulatory filings such as Form 5500’s a plus.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to shift attention quickly and accurately from one matter to another.
  • Experience with webinars, recording and video a plus.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment.  Noise levels usually are moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.

  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)
  • The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting.

Pay Details:

$ 61,600 - $88,000 annually

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. 

 

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
