POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Summer Intern at Provident Bank, you will learn the roles and responsibilities within the department you are placed in. Each internship is tailored to a specific department, providing you with knowledge, hands-on experience and interaction with Senior Leaders. More importantly, regardless of the business area, from day one you’ll be welcomed as a contributing team member—a full participant within our company to help us drive our initiatives. You will learn how we keep customers at the forefront of everything we do, our focus on providing an employee centric environment, and our passion to give back to local communities. 

 

Our summer internships are paid positions, so you will be earning while you are learning. This is a 10-week program starting in June and selected interns will be placed in various corporate offices. As we build for the future, our interns are a key component to our talent pipeline.

 

We have opportunities in the following departments: BSA/Fraud, BSA Compliance, Credit Underwriting Support, CRE Lending, C&I Lending, Specialty Lending, Information Security, Project Management Office, IT - Infrastructure Engineering, and Operations/Process Improvement.

 

Minimum Requirements

  • College students on their way to earning a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university studying Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Computer Science, Data Analytics or Information Security
  • A cumulative 3.0 GPA required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members.  Possess drive, motivation, and exercise sound judgment
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to engage with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent people skills - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and logical reasoning skills
  • Math skills
  • Attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to meet short deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment.  Noise levels are usually moderate.

 

HAZARDS:

The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting and those present in commuting by car. Occasionally may be exposed to those conditions present in public forums and meeting places.
