Sales Analyst

Provident Bank, a multi-billion dollar NJ bank with branches in NJ and eastern PA, has an opportunity for a Sales Analyst in our Retail Banking area.  Candidates must have proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, be able to produce meaningful results from data, have excellent oral/written communication skills and the ability to learn our sales processes.

Starting salary range is $46,000-$56,000 depending on experience.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The sales analyst is the primary branch contact for all things sales. You should be an excellent communicator who understands customer needs and provides ways to fulfill them. If you also have a background in customer service and knowledge of our industry, we’d like to meet you. Build and promote strong, long-lasting internal customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs. Your goal will be to help us safeguard our revenue and retain our customers.

The sales analyst analyzes sales performance in reference to sales activities and goals, and identifies areas of opportunities.

Using data, the sales analyst will make recommendations to the Regional Managers, Market Managers, BCM, BCS and Universal Bankers to improve productivity.

 

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzes sales reports, conducts Go to meetings, webinars, creates sales brief and meeting agendas.   

Responsible for analyzing results, creating and distributing Leader Boards on a weekly basis and identifying opportunities for improvement.

Provides to branch staff on-the-job Sales training in person, via email, WebEx and conference call.

Compiles data, analyzes production results and shares findings to improve process and production.

Acts as a liaison between Provident & 3rdParty Vendors.  Responsible for ongoing communication, feedback, complaint management, alignment, strategy and sales campaigns

Strategizes and works with the Field Coaches on a consistent basis to improve sales activities. Provides reporting and analysis on sales results to the Field Coaches. Meets with the Field Coaches on a regular basis to gain insight into the branch’s needs.

Designing and implementing sales activities that expand Households such as creating contests and distributing calling lists.

Collaborates with the Branch Event Planner and Marketing and participates in events. Plans execution and roll out of sales events.

Maintains a strong working knowledge of Provident Sales process and attends all training classes.

Back up to Branch Event Planner and Sales Compensation Analyst.

SKILLS AND TRAINING

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to deliver technical information in an easily understood manner across all departments in an organization.   
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Provident Internal Sales Process
  • Knowledge of Provident Retail Sales Coaching Process
  • Knowledge of StarTrack
  • Knowledge of Retail Incentive Program
  • Problem solving skills. MS Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Computer skills.
  • Knowledge of bank products.

 

EDUCATION

       Bachelor’s degree preferred; or equivalent experience. 

WORK EXPERIENCE

       2 to 4 years directly in Retail Banking.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is mainly performed under general office conditions in a retail-banking establishment.  Willing to work required overtime.  Willing and able to travel to other locations/branches.

 

HAZARDS

Those present in a retail-banking establishment.  In the course of working with customers, the employee may encounter abusive, aggressive or unpredicted threatening behavior.  Must observe safety and security practices at each branch location.
