Retail Data Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

Under general direction, this position’s role is to perform reporting and administrative functions involving daily operations within Retail Banking. 

These activities include: Researching information, compiling statistics, organizing data and distribution of reports in a timely manner.  Other responsibilities include performing Administrative functions in Connections, Axiom, Horizon 360 MPC.

 

The individual will create track year over year reports and create trend reports, grids and charts. Must be proficient at excel, analyzing data and generating reporting as well as creating graphs and power point

Researches information, compiles statistics, gathers and computes various data; prepares periodic reports or summaries, selecting relevant data from a variety of sources. 

 

This position is considered at the intermediate or journeyperson level of the job family.  Incumbent is expected to display professional maturity, judgment and experience.  A certain degree of creativity and diplomacy is required.

 

  • Perform monthly revenue allocations
  • Identify different types of data that need tracking to improve business performance.
  • Generate easy-to-interpret reports based on collected data.
  • Work with the management team to create, prioritize and streamline reporting and delivery of reports.
  • Use statistical methods to identify areas for improvement and make suggestions for streamlining processes.
  • Write improved internal procedural manuals for Retail Administration departments.

 

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Revenue allocation for all Retail Branches            
  • Compilation and distribution of Retail reports including trend report for board report      
  • Creates and distributes reports in Horizon 360 and various other systems for the Retail Network
  • Compiles Policy and maintains policy and procedures for Retail Administration

  SKILLS AND TRAINING

  • High-level math skills and the ability to translate mathematical information into concise reports.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Must be proficient at excel, analyzing data and generating reporting as well as creating graphs and power MS Word and Advanced Excel, PowerPoint & computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently & meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of bank products, policy and procedures
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.

 

  EDUCATION

  •          High School Diploma
  •         Bachelor's Degree preferred in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Studies, or related field.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

         2 to 4 years’ experience in data analytics or related banking experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is mainly performed under general office conditions in a retail-banking establishment.  Willing to work required overtime.  Willing and able to travel to other locations/branches.

 

HAZARDS

Those present in a retail-banking establishment.  In the course of working with customers, the employee may encounter abusive, aggressive or unpredicted threatening behavior.  Must observe safety and security practices at each branch location.
