Investment & Funding Analyst (Full-time)

POSITION SUMMARY

The Investment and Funding Analyst supports the Bank’s day‑to‑day operational integrity by ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution across critical processing        functions. This role is responsible for transaction balancing, exception and adjustment processing, fraud review, and responding to internal and external inquiries in accordance with established regulatory and procedural requirements. Working collaboratively across teams, the Analyst applies sound judgment and analytical problem‑solving to address operational issues and mitigate risk. This position offers the opportunity to build a strong foundation in bank operations while contributing directly to a positive customer and employee experience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the management of a multi‑billion‑dollar investment portfolio consistent with policy guidelines. Assists in developing day‑to‑day solutions for optimizing return and liquidity. Performs required credit analysis for municipal, corporate, and non‑U.S. agency securities.
  • Utilizes approved options to meet funding requirements with the aim of minimizing funding expenses using guidance from AL Management and ALCO.
  • Assists in managing security and cash collateral positions with the aim of optimizing liquidity and minimizing cost.
  • Utilizes the Bank’s derivative and hedging program to optimize performance and minimize risk as outlined by ALCO.
  • Serves as an active member of the Asset Liability Committee and helps develop strategies to manage interest rate risk, liquidity risk, and capital, as well as support Pricing Committee initiatives.
  • Supports loan and deposit pricing management and manages the commercial loan pricing model.
  • Prepares reporting packages for the quarterly Investment Committee meeting and monthly Pricing Committee meeting. Presents strategy proposals and executes approved strategies.
  • Prepares all required reports and memos and responds to regulatory requests related to the investment portfolio, brokered deposits, wholesale borrowings, swaps, and loan and deposit pricing.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5 to 10 years in financial management experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of and the ability to accurately apply generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, interest rate risk, liquidity risk, market risk measurement, and local/national economics.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends and developments affecting the organization including economic, environmental, legal, governmental, and technological concerns.
  • Ability to interact with bankers, external relationships, and internal business partners independently.
  • Ability to analyze and understand the balance sheet and other areas related to risk management, audit, and regulatory requirements within a financial services treasury group.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret financial journals, reports, and related legal documents or instructions.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies and management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executives, managers, employees, and vendors.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
  • Ability to shift attention quickly and accurately from one matter to another

Pay Details:
$77,000-$110,000 annually

Please note: The base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate’s skills and experience, job‑related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
