Overview:

Provident Bank is seeking a strategic leader to serve as Head of Treasury Management Services. This role is responsible for leading the sales, service, operations, and deposit generation activities of the Treasury Management Services department. The position creates strategy for deposit generation from non-borrowing customers and oversees the sales and servicing of Treasury Management products for commercial, middle market, commercial real estate, nonprofit, municipal, and small business customers and prospects. The role collaborates with senior leaders across the organization and contributes to the achievement of Commercial Banking goals.

As part of a growth-focused environment, this position works closely with the Chief Lending Officer, Product Management, Information Technology, Operations, and Marketing teams to support Treasury Management product development, implementation, customer onboarding, training, and service delivery.

 

What You Will Do

  • Create and align department strategy with the Bank's Commercial Banking strategy.
  • Oversee achievement of Treasury Management goals related to deposit generation, sales, service, operations, and customer satisfaction.
  • Increase sales and revenue of Treasury Management products through sales and service support for commercial lending officers, branch officers, and other customer-facing personnel.
  • Conduct Treasury Management product knowledge sessions to expand product awareness and sales effectiveness throughout the organization.
  • Direct new deposit generation from non-lending customers and prospects through oversight of Treasury Management Business Development Officers.
  • Introduce new products and enhancements to existing Treasury Management offerings.
  • Support product implementation, testing, and workflow development.
  • Develop marketing techniques and enhance product delivery while improving operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Branches, Operations, Technology, and Marketing on product management initiatives.
  • Identify training needs for Commercial Relationship Managers, Treasury Management Business Development Officers, and other stakeholders to support sales goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Review and approve ACH and other definitive documents and resolve escalated issues.
  • Stay current on technological, regulatory, and legal developments affecting Treasury Management operations and communicate relevant updates.
  • Oversee client onboarding, training, and problem resolution through the Client Services Support team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

 

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development for Treasury Management Sales Officers, Treasury Management Business Development Officers, Client Services leadership, and operational support staff.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top talent while fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Establish accountability measures and performance expectations aligned with departmental and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to drive strategic initiatives and organizational change.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of Treasury Management experience, including extensive knowledge of Treasury Management products, banking operations, payment systems, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing Treasury Management functions and teams.
  • Demonstrated success driving deposit growth, sales performance, and revenue generation.
  • Experience developing Treasury Management business across Commercial Banking, Middle Market, Commercial Real Estate, Municipal, and Nonprofit market segments.
  • Proven ability to create and execute strategic business plans and lead organizational initiatives.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
  • Exceptional relationship management, business development, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, collaborate across business units, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Cash Manager (CCM) designation preferred.

Pay Details:

The base salary for this position starts at $270,000. The final compensation offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs.

 

This role is eligible to participate in a lucrative incentive plan, based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
