Finance Business Partner - IT

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the FP&A Budget & Planning Manager, this role primarily serves as a Finance business partner to Technology, Digital and Project Management teams. This role will be responsible for overseeing the budgeting and forecasting process for technology initiatives and monitoring the strategic initiatives against initial targets. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and providing useful data to help IT manage their business and strategic decisions.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the annual budgeting process for IT/Digital/EPMO and new technology projects and strategic initiatives. Monitor and analyze actual expenditures against the budget and identify explanations for variances. Inform key stakeholders of variances and trends on a monthly basis and propose corrective actions for minimizing over budget expense areas. recommendations and ensures effective implementation.
  • Collaborate with IT and business leaders to identify technology needs, evaluate the financial impact of technology investments and prioritize them based on the company’s strategic initiatives. Monitor long-term technology investment plans to verify that they are appropriately supporting business growth and operational efficiency. Identify and escalate potential financial and budgetary risks associated with technology investments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee monthly tracking and invoicing of software/hardware expenditures throughout the organization and non-bank entities, including but not limited to PPP, Beacon, and BIAS.
  • Participate in special projects and other duties, including supporting the Company’s suite of financial systems, budget/forecast related tasks and evaluation of systems

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance or similar study
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in financial planning & analysis or similar role
  • Proficient in Excel, with knowledge of advanced formulas (Pivot tables, vlookups, hlookups, sumif)
  • Proven experience in budgeting, financial analysis, or strategic planning
  • Proficient with handling large sets of data
  • Detailed-oriented, organized and able to work with various professional groups in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Banking and IT knowledge preferred but not required

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

         Work is typically performed in an office environment.  Noise levels are usually moderate.

HAZARDS

         Mainly those present in a normal office setting.
