Commercial Loan Closing Manager
Position Overview
Under the general direction of the Director of Loan Administration, the Commercial Loan Closing Manager will be responsible for addressing departmental issues and focus on aligning a comprehensive loan closing process. The key deliverables for this person will be establishing solid communication among departmental employees, bringing cohesion and coordination to the closing process, and being able to manage the highly technical duties of this position. They will also assist in the day to day operations of the Loan Administration. As such, you will be expected to act as an ambassador, promote our team and provide the best customer experience possible.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Guide, mentor, and train team members.
- Provide oversight of the team to ensure that all legal documents are true and correct.
- Coordinate, lead, and direct that the procedures f closing activities are followed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate extensively with the legal department, Lending teams, title companies, insurance companies, etc. to ensure that sequential closing activities are followed in a timely manner.
- Ensure the timely movement and closing of approved loans through the pipeline.
- Ensure a pre-closing quality review of loan files prior to releasing closing package.
- Respond to and resolve all technical and complex problems that arise.
- Recommend better procedural activities and necessary changes to management.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and process changes.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of lending products, policies, processes, and required documentation.
- Work closely with HR team to recruit, develop, and retain high performing team members to ensure ongoing success.
- Assist with adhering to and helping to implement all departmental strategies.
- Ensure all operating procedures in the closing area (including all disbursement methods) are properly followed by allocating work, setting priorities, and maintaining deadlines.
- Create a program of cross-training within the entire Loan Closing Department in order to provide back up for other team members during a busy period or paid time off.
- All other related duties, as assigned.

Required Qualifications, Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 7-10 Years of related industry experience
- In lieu of degree, 10+ years of related experience.
- Commercial Real Estate Loan Documentation and Due Diligence Experience
- General computer proficiency
