Benefits Analyst I
The Benefits Analyst I is an individual contributor who will support the day-to-day operations of the benefits team with administration, analysis and internal communication of health and welfare programs including Leave of Absence, Wellness, Provident EDYOU and Total Reward programs. Analyst will provide initial and on-going education of benefits eligibility and enrollment processes. Analyst will prepare benefit payments and collaborate with team to analyze and recommend efficiencies to effect continual operational improvements that positively impact the employee experience. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, sensitivity to deadline delivery and flexibility. It also requires professional maturity, judgment and diplomacy along with a certain degree of creativity.
- Administration of Leave of Absence program including communications with employees, updating time sheets, preparing of benefits calculations and reports.
- Administration of Discover Wellness including communications and education, data tracking, vendor administration and scheduling of on-site events.
- Administration of Provident EdYou including enrollment, communications and education, and vendor administration. Collaborate with Manager on certification processing and approvals.
- Support team in delivery of Total Rewards Statements which could include project design, data collection and compilation. High attention to detail, effective implementation and use of appropriate planning methods is required.
- Verify and process monthly benefit bills. Process payroll adjustments and pre-tax account funding in a timely manner. Reconcile payroll adjustments.
- For business continuity, learn and process key transactions for retirement, health and welfare plans including but not necessarily limited to preparation of Financial Statements, Regulatory filings and SMM’s.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SKILLS AND TRAINING:
- Understanding of benefits administration and applicable government regulation of employee benefits.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer programs particularly Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Adobe.
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills including to speaking to large groups.
- Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions consistent with job functions. Ability to remain composed and make appropriate decisions under stressful situations.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects for timely completion. Familiarity with preparation of financial statement and regulatory filings such as Form 5500’s a plus.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to shift attention quickly and accurately from one matter to another.
- Experience with webinars, recording and video a plus.
EDUCATION:

College degree in human resources, business administration or equivalent experience preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
-
1-3 yrs in benefits, compensation, finance, auditing or banking.
Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. Will involve travel to bank locations.
HAZARDS:
The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting and those present in commuting by car. Occasionally may be exposed to those conditions present in public forums and meeting places.
