Senior CLA - Mortgage Warehouse Lending

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior CLA – Mortgage Warehouse Lending at Provident Bank you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of mortgage warehouse line activity requested by MWL borrowers which for this position includes primarily, review of advance requests submitted by clients via the WLS operating system and input of wire transfers for new advances. Provide general customer service assistance to the department’s clients and internal Provident Bank staff. Assist PM with tracking financial statements, covenant compliance, u/w requests and approvals and booking of loans to CL System.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for general CLA functions include tracking of financial statements, covenant compliance, coordination of U/W requests and loan approvals, coordination of loan booking with Closing Department and Loan Administration.  Uploading of credit information and loan documentation to Image Center.
  • Review and approve collateral files and advance requests input by clients in WLS system for required documentation and communicate to any missing documentation to clients. Processes include assessing line availability and customer deposit balances for funding haircuts.
  • Retrieve and review of WLS secure uploads from clients. The process includes confirmation of valid take-out commitment, confirmation of closing service letter or E&O insurance, and confirmation that application corresponds to loan advance submitted. Communicate any deficiencies to clients.
  • Process advances in WLS operating system. Input outgoing wire requests into Provident Business Connect wire system for proper approval authorities. Prepare Excel spread sheets of advance activity for process by Commercial Loan Operations. Review daily advances in WLS at end of day processing to ensure corresponding match to Provident Business Connect wire system.
  • Process paydown requests by confirming receipt of Investor purchase advices.  Process includes collection of principal, interest and fees and debits and credits to client operating deposit accounts with input to WLS system.
  • Prepare Excel spread sheets of payment activity for process by Commercial Loan Operations.
  • Act as primary contact for both internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Assist in logging in notes and closing disclosures. Assist in shipping notes to end investors as needed.
  • Assist in preparation of daily proof of WLS operations system to Horizon Core System.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned by MWL Operations Manager and PM.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Five years’ experience in Mortgage Warehouse operations, related Mortgage Industry experience or commercial loan operations.
  • Ability to muti-task with attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
  • Good understanding of computer spread sheet and word processing software.
  • Must be computer adept with the ability to learn and master WLS collateral system.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment.  Noise levels usually are moderate.

  • Prolonged sitting
  • Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs. (printer paper, storage boxes)
  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)
  • The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting.

Pay Details:

$22.26 - $27.79

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. 

 

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
