Floating Banking Center Supervisor

Provident Bank, a multi-billion dollar bank with branches in New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, is seeking a Floating Banking Center Supervisor of three (3) branches - Doylestown, PA as the home branch, Newtown, PA and the Flemington, NJ branch in the Pennsylvania/West New Jersey Region.  Qualified candidate must possess excellent customer service and sales skills as well as strong leadership and operational skills.  Travel is required to the Doylestown, Newtown Pennsylvania and Flemington, New Jersey Provident Bank branches. 

 

Starting salary for this position will range from $38,500 to $52,900 based on qualifications and experience.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Banking Center Supervisor provides exceptional customer sales and service while attending to customers' needs.  The BCS creates and fosters a cohesive team and promotes a positive work environment while overseeing the Bank Associates who perform both routine financial transactions and/or customer service functions.  May cover multiple branches within the region.  Assists tellers with more complex tasks and schedules the work flow.  

Demonstrates sound judgment and accountability with operational standards.  Provides leadership, conflict resolution, process improvement and communication to the Bank Associates.  Responsible for performing audit functions, participates in daily branch opening and closing procedures and required to perform operational tasks, coaching and performance management. 

In the absence of, or assisting the Banking Center Manager, responsible for the overall branch management including but not limited to operations, sales management and productivity. 

 

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES –

 

The Banking Center Supervisor's duties and responsibilities listed below are categorized into 3 general areas - Sales, Service and Operations. 

 

Sales:

  • Meet customer sales referrals and cross-selling goals; knows the features and benefits of all products and services to satisfy the needs of the customers
  • Responsible for managing and growing a book-of-business
  • Actively refers clients for commercial business to Market Manager
    Service:
  • Promotes bank products, refer or resolve customer inquiries concerning accounts or other banking services
  • Helps maintain cost efficiency to achieve goals of the branch; assures quality of customer service and adherence to sales and brand standards
  • Supplements general platform sales and service responsibilities as required
  • Resolves customer inquiries/complaints and situations in a positive professional and efficient manner
    Operations:
  • Establishes customer identity according to established guidelines and adheres to all other compliance procedures
  • Daily/ weekly scheduling and coordination of workflow
  • Assists with completing performance reviews of Bank Associates
  • Assists with training, planning, assigning and disciplining employees in the Branch
    May perform other duties as requested.

EDUCATION
      High school diploma or GED


WORK EXPERIENCE

 2-5 years retail banking experience

       Supervisory experience preferred

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is mainly performed under general office conditions in a retail-banking establishment.  Willing and able to work required overtime.  Willing and able to travel to other locations/branches.  Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to adapt to new job locations and reassignments as directed.
 
HAZARDS
Those present in a retail-banking establishment.  In the course of working with customers, the employee may encounter abusive, aggressive or unpredicted threatening behavior.  Must observe safety and security practices at the Branch.

 More specific duties and Responsibilities – Banking Center Supervisor


 

  • Opens and/or closes Branches
  • Researches errors in deposits and withdrawals; consults with supervisor for more complex issues
  • Assists with daily Branch proofing tasks including ATM and Vault
  • May buy and sell cash from vault & TCR
  • Processes official checks
  • Participates in both internal and external sales activities including community and networking events
  • Supports and adheres to branch operation standards; accurately and efficiently completes all paperwork, disclosures and conditions
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures as required
  • Prepares and/or completes CTR/SAR form on appropriate transactions
  • Must be able to work a flexible hourly schedule as requested
  • May be asked to travel to other locations / branches
  • Must present a professional image
  • Provides access to safe deposit boxes
  • May be required to maintain Life Insurance Licensing
  • Accepts and processes loan applications
  • Assists in training other branch personnel
  • Responsible for managing and growing a book-of-business

  • Oversees vault proof
  • Performs Supervisory functions and approvals as required
  • Maintains inventory and orders supplies for the branch

  • Maintains vault control to include cash orders, shipment verifications and vault logs
  • Promotes professional growth of employees through planned development activities and experiences for succession advancement.  Determines and promotes skill sets and training development
