POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Relationship Manager II in Healthcare and Not-for-Profit Lending you will develop commercial loan requests from centers of influence, existing customers and other sources. The ideal candidate is able to source, manage, and contribute to the underwriting of specific credit requests which could include Healthcare and Not-for-Profit organizations. The RM will prepare and present loan offerings to designated levels of authority. Manage the entire credit approval process through closing by directing administrative staff and/or legal counsel. Monitor and maintain relationships to insure timely loan administration which may include repayment, receipt of required financial updates, detection of potential problems and opportunities for additional business. Refer and/or cross-sell other bank services. Active involvement in community and business organizations is encouraged. Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization.
This position may be based out of offices in Bernardsville, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; or Plymouth Meeting, PA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop business opportunities through customer, professional and organizational contacts.
- Refer and/or cross-sell banks products and services.
- Understand, structure and present loan requests to optimize the return to the bank.
- Review loan documentation for correctness, attend loan closings, and follow up on missing or exception items.
- Monitor delinquencies, overdrafts and financial indicators of potential loan repayment problems.
- Organize and prioritize workflow to ensure highest priorities are addressed on a timely basis.
- Attend Bank meetings as required.
- Active involvement in community and business organizations is encouraged
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or equivalent job training/experience.
- Expertise in Healthcare and Not-for-Profit industry verticals.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience commensurate with job function.
- Ability to source loan opportunities in excess of $2,500,000 across the healthcare and not-for-profit spectrum with a primary geographic focus in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and a secondary geographic focus in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and Florida
- Familiarity with the market territory as described.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present information and respond to questions in person, small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the Bank.
- Ability to utilize experience in Healthcare and Not-for-Profit lending to quickly analyze and partner with analysts to underwrite specific credit requests if all types.
- Extensive understanding of credit along with demonstrated ability to structure solid loans.
- Intermediate skills in Contact Management, PowerPoint, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing.
- Ability to demonstrate successful business development through external referral sources, leading to annual minimum loan production of $20 million
- Knowledge of Baker Hill software a plus.
- Proficient with software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels usually are moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.
