POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Portfolio Manager II in Healthcare and Not-for-Profit Lending your primary responsibilities include all aspects of portfolio management as relates to assigned portfolio loans together with the cross selling of Bank products and services. A primary responsibility includes the preparation of comprehensive financial reviews and Loan Offering Analyses that evaluate the prospective financing properties, incorporating complex underwriting to include cash flow analysis, project economics and valuation, guarantor analysis, market analysis, partial underwriting responsibilities and ultimate recommendation. The loan analyses include both commercial healthcare loans and commercial permanent owner-occupied mortgages or commercial construction and commercial permanent mortgages with healthcare components.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio management responsibilities including:
- Solicits existing portfolio customers in an effort to increase and retain loan volume and cross sell Bank products and services.
- Transaction negotiation and preparation of Loan Offering Analysis of existing loans in connection with renewals and modifications and new business transactions; facilitates closing of the transaction.
- Performs continued Delinquency Control.
- Prepares annual reviews of existing loans to access credit quality and covenant compliance; performs property inspections.
- Promotes customer relations.
Prepares Loan Offering Analyses, including:
- Detailed property descriptions, specific healthcare industry and market analysis.
- Detailed analysis of financial statements.
- Project economics, income and expense analysis, tenancy analysis, and property valuations and discounted cash flow models.
- Construction budget analysis with determination of sources and uses of funds.
- Borrower and Guarantor analysis.
- Assess lending risks, clearly identify offsetting mitigates and summarize recommendations.
- Adherence to Healthcare Credit Policy
- Complete special projects as assigned or directed by the department head.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or Business Administration, or equivalent job training/experience.
- 5 or more years’ related experience within financial industry, including 3-4 years direct exposure to Healthcare and Not-for-Profit operators.
- Comprehensive financial analysis experience.
- Comprehensive loan analysis experience in respective disciplines.
- Meaningful experience with Healthcare & Not-for-Profit lending (3-4 years)
- Strong verbal and written communicative.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient with software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel & Argus, and financial analysis programs and discounted cash flow models.
- Strong customer services skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels usually are moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.
