Associate Portfolio Manager - Insurance Lending

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provident is a leading financial institution committed to delivering exceptional banking services to our clients. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Portfolio Manager to join our Commercial Lending team, Insurance Lending department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient processing and management of Insurance Lending loan applications and servicing. Additional responsibilities will include portfolio management and cross-selling other Bank products, services and increasing the bank’s visibility in the marketplace.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loan Processing: Review, process and underwrite loan applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and verified. Assist in the analysis of creditworthiness by reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information. Prepare loan offering decisions to Team Leader and Credit Officer.
  • Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the loan process, addressing inquiries and providing updates on loan status. Assist existing customers with account needs as well as cross sell additional bank products and services.
  • Documentation Management: Prepare and review loan documents, including loan agreements, promissory notes, and collateral documentation. Facilities closings for applicants, work with loan servicing on booking new accounts along with payoff preparation.
  • Establishes and promotes customer and community relationships, cross sells other Bank products and services; maintains continued awareness of market conditions and competition. Sell program to center of influence and other sources.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, bank policies, and procedures related to commercial lending.
  • Loan Servicing: Monitor Loan Performance, track payments, and handle modifications or restructuring of existing loans.
  • Reporting: Generate and maintain reports related to loan performance, delinquencies, and portfolio management.
  • Collaboration: Work Closely with commercial lenders, underwriters and other bank ensure smooth loan process.
  • Problem Resolutions: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to loan accounts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 - 5 years related within financial industry and/or commercial lending
  • 3 – 5 years in retail banking
  • Strong ability to review and manage detailed loan documentation and ensure accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Proven ability to provide high-quality service and build relationships with clients.
  • Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other financial data.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple loan applications and maintain accurate records.
  • Familiarity with loan processing software, banking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a positive team environment.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Prolonged sitting
  • Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs (printer paper, storage boxes)
  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)

 

HAZARDS:

The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting and those present in commuting by car. Occasionally may be exposed to those conditions present in public forums and meeting places.

Pay Details:

$33.23 - $41.54 hourly

Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. 

 

This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
