POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Marketing Manager works with the Marketing Team in providing Insurance Portfolios for the Producers and Clients.  The Marketing Manager assists with trouble shooting on existing renewal accounts and works with the Account Managers on hard to place renewals.

  
Responsibilities 
 

•    Works with Producers and Account Managers discussing coverages required, rating, available markets and data needed to place new accounts.
•    Establish and recommend coverage’s on new business submissions. Evaluate game plan with Producer how to win the account.
•    Negotiates coverages and pricing with Carriers. 
•    Works with Producers once the quotations are received and compares the different Carriers’ products.
•    Determines with Producers and Account Managers the best placement and terms for renewing accounts.  Does actual placement and negotiation on top 20% of agency ac-counts, in addition to new business accounts. 
•    Marketing Manager is involved with difficult/unusual renewal agency accounts.
•    Follow-up with Carriers so that new quotes are delivered on a timely basis.
•    Prepare a presentation-ready proposal.  This includes forms to be signed/applications/supplements and a sign-off Request To Bind form by the Insured to protect the Agency from E&O exposures.
•    Advises Commercial Lines team and Marketing team of any changes in the industry.  Keeping both teams informed of carrier product updates and special programs that become available.
•    Keeps the agency up to date with coverage changes.
•    Acts as main agency liaison with Carriers keeping strong relationships between the Agency and Companies.
•    Tracks new business and hit ratios.
•    Negotiate overrides with Wholesalers.
•    Marketing Manager must be mindful in hitting Company goals to receive contingency with our direct writing carriers.  Reviews reserves, large losses and placement activity throughout the policy year to maximize profit-sharing and commission.

SKILLS AND TRAINING
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
•    Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
•    Ability to adhere to deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
•    Knowledge of AMS360 is a plus.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
 

 

EDUCATION 

  • College Degree preferred

    

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in a normal office environment.  Noise levels are usually moderate.
