POSITION SUMMARY

The Account Executive – Commercial Lines Insurance is a service role responsible for supporting Account Managers within the Commercial Lines department of Provident Protection Plus (PPP). This position services and manages a dedicated book of business and works closely with clients and insurance carriers to support renewals, policy changes, billing inquiries, and ongoing account needs. The role plays a key part in maintaining service standards and supporting the daily workflow of the PPP insurance team. The Account Executive will support daily client account management tasks as well as their own workload assigned to them.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Service and manage a dedicated book of commercial lines accounts, including renewals, audits, cancellations, policy changes, billing inquiries, and client and carrier communications
  • Perform administrative and operational duties such as updating client files and responding to client correspondence; support Commercial Lines team members across multiple office locations as needed
  • Process billing for agency‑billed policies and assist with direct‑billed policies when required
  • Retrieve and manage policy documentation from carrier portals to support account servicing
  • Prepare summaries of insurance and related materials for internal and client meetings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

SKILLS AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

 

  • Strong customer service and client relationship skills
  • Commercial Lines insurance experience preferred
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
  • Organized, collaborative, and service‑focused
  • Working knowledge of Windows‑based software
  • Ability to build effective relationships with clients, carriers, and underwriters

 

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of insurance industry experience, including managing or supporting a book of business

Education

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Risk Management degree preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Active Property & Casualty license required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Prolonged sitting
  • Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs (printer paper, storage boxes)
  • Occasional bending or overhead lifting (storing files or boxes)

 

Work is performed in a normal office environment. Noise levels are usually moderate. May also involve travel to customers and property locations.

HAZARDS:

The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting and those present in commuting by car. Occasionally, they may be exposed to those conditions present in public forums and meeting places.

Pay Details:
$60,000 - $75,000 


Please note, the base pay actually offered may vary based upon the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. This role is incentive eligible based upon company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
